Retain. Keep protein and strength in view.
Protein, strength, meals, weight and GLP-1 history β one calm record, with no fake βmuscle protectedβ score.
Retain brings manual food logs, on-device label reading, barcode lookup, strength sets, weight and lean-mass entries, symptoms, and medication history together. Retain Pro adds editable plate-photo ranges and integrated timeline, plateau, and maintenance modules. It never gives dosing or treatment advice.
The GLP-1 app that tells you the truth.
Protein and strength, together
Set the protein goal you choose, log meals and resistance sets, and review both beside weight and lean-mass entries. Retain describes what you recorded without grading your body or claiming a chart proves muscle retention.
Photo food log with honest ranges
Enter a meal manually, read a nutrition label on device, or detect a barcode. Retain Pro adds plate-photo calorie and macro estimates as editable ranges with confidence β never fake decimal precision. Check every estimate before saving.
Dose and site history, without advice
An interactive body map records the injection sites you choose. Retain never recommends a next site, dose, schedule, or treatment action; it simply preserves the history you entered.
A side-effect timeline that shows, never advises
Review symptoms beside food, dose events, and weight in one timeline without a diagnosis or causal claim. For severe or persistent symptoms, contact your healthcare provider.
Weigh-ins with a noise band
Day-to-day weight can move with water, food, salt, and hormonal changes, so Retain draws your trend inside an honest noise band and de-emphasizes single mornings. It will never alarm you over one day's number.
Plateau and maintenance support
Retain offers general plateau education and an observe-only checklist, then keeps the same neutral logging tools available in maintenance mode. It does not advise whether or when to change medication.
One scan, told straight.
Chicken burrito bowl
Moderate confidenceA flat photo can't weigh a portion or see the cooking oil β so Retain shows an editable range with confidence and asks you to check it before saving.
Honesty is the feature
GLP-1 apps love confident numbers β decimal-point calories from a photo, exact "muscle lost" from a bathroom scale. Confidently wrong is still wrong.
Retain shows an editable range with confidence, says when it isn't sure, and asks you to check rather than trust a guess.
Weight and lean-mass records cannot prove what happened to muscle. Retain keeps protein and strength habits visible without inventing a protection score.
And it never plays doctor: no dose math, no titration tips, no "skip a shot" tricks. Your prescriber decides; Retain remembers.
An honest range, with the context to check it. That's the whole app.

Your logs live on your device
Retain is local-first: core logs stay on your iPhone unless you choose an account-backed feature such as the Pro photo scanner. Local export puts a file you control in your hands β no account required.
Your meal photo isn't kept
A scan photo is used only for the requested estimate and is never stored on our servers. Your progress photos and notes are not sent through the meal-photo scan flow.
Consent, per provider and purpose
Cloud AI runs only after you consent β separately for each provider and each purpose. Consenting to one never authorizes another, and you can withdraw anytime; future requests are blocked until you say otherwise. The Privacy Policy names every processor.
No ads. No data sales.
No third-party advertising, and your health information is never sold or shared for advertising. Billing is Apple StoreKit only β we never see your card. Delete your account and data from inside the app, anytime.
Questions, answered.
What can Retain show about muscle?
Retain brings protein, resistance-training, weight, and user-entered lean-mass records together. It does not create a βmuscle protectedβ score or claim those trends prove muscle retention. Lean mass can include water and other tissue, so discuss body-composition results with a qualified clinician.
How accurate is the photo food scanner?
A plate photo cannot weigh a portion or see every ingredient. Retain therefore returns an editable calorie and macro range with a confidence cue, not a fake-precise measurement. Check every result before saving it.
Does Retain give dosing or injection-site advice?
Never. Retain records the medication, dose, date, status, and injection site you enter. It will not calculate a dose, suggest titration, recommend a next site, or tell you whether to start, stop, skip, change, or time medication.
How can I log food?
Manual meal entry, on-device nutrition-label reading, and barcode detection are included. Optional product lookup sends only detected barcode digits. Retain Pro adds plate-photo estimates after sign-in and explicit consent.
What's included and what's Retain Pro?
Core manual logs, dose and site history, symptoms, strength, weight, lean-mass entries, label and barcode tools, and export/import are included. Retain Pro is $4.99/month or $39.99/year and adds plate-photo ranges plus the timeline, plateau, and maintenance modules. Apple shows your local price and any trial eligibility before purchase.
Is Retain medical advice or a medical device?
No. Retain is a tracking and education companion, not a medical device and not a source of medical advice. It does not diagnose or treat anything; its educational content is general and cited, and its numbers are estimates with stated ranges. Always talk to your doctor, prescriber, dietitian or pharmacist before making medical decisions.
